🔧 Palacios Seniors Gain Hands-On Industry Experience! 🔧

Today, Palacios High School students participated in their first Helper Orientation Program (HOP) at Merit Shop Training Institute (MSTI), made possible through a generous grant from Chevron Phillips Chemical Company!

Students were introduced to essential industry skills, including basic tool usage, workplace safety, risk assessment, and more. These hands-on experiences help prepare our students for future careers in skilled trades and industry by building the knowledge, confidence, and safety mindset needed to succeed in the workforce.

We are grateful to Merit Shop Training Institute and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company for investing in our students and helping create opportunities for the next generation of skilled workers!

🚒🔥 FIRE SAFETY FUN AT PES! 🔥🚒

Our PES Sharks had a special visit from the Palacios Volunteer Fire Department! ❤️🖤🦈

Our local volunteer firefighters spent time teaching students important fire safety lessons, including what to do in case of a fire, how firefighters help keep our community safe, and why they should never be afraid of a firefighter coming to help them! 👨‍🚒

Students also got an up-close look at fire trucks and learned how the equipment and fire hoses work! 🚒💦

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU to the Palacios Volunteer Fire Department and our amazing volunteer firefighters for taking time out of their day to educate our students! We appreciate everything you do to keep our school and community safe!
