Ventura County Reading Association

We'll be in Port Hueneme this Saturday (Apr 29th) from 10AM-1PM for the Family Literacy Celebration and Young Authors Fair! Sponsored by the Ventura County Reading Association (VCRA), this is a free event that publicly honors and salutes the literary creativity of young authors and those who encourage students to make their own books.

Did you know that the "R" in STREAM stands for reading? Reading and writing are building blocks for learning, and they help children express their own ideas and become confident enough to share them with others.

As we continue to participate in local outreach events this year, we also remain focused and look forward to opening a destination worthy children’s museum, which activates and nurtures each and every core skill in a child, creating life long learners who can think, design, innovate and iterate the solution to any problem.
