"I went to renew my drivers license in California and was told I couldn't because there was a hold on my account in North Carolina. 😮 Called the NC DMV and was told my license was suspended for outstanding fines from a ticket I got 3 years prior in Kannapolis, NC (a city I've never been to).

Someone used my drivers license, plead guilty in court as me, then never paid their court fines, which led to a warrant for me in NC! 😳 The DMV told me I'd need to pay the fines to drive legally or hire a lawyer in NC if I wanted to fight it!

I hung up feeling pretty relieved that I do actually have lawyers in North Carolina thanks to LegalShield, but for this I used my IDShield and got connected with an awesome licensed investigator. He did some research, made some calls, got me connected with the right people and within 1 week I was driving again legally and it all cost me $0. My investigator took another week to clear up the warrant in NC.

I love my LegalShield & IDShield! Without them, what would I have done -- fly across the country to hire a lawyer? It would have been cheaper to just pay the fines. The cop I spoke with in NC along the way to verify some info said he hoped ‘my investigator’ didn't cost me too much because he was awesome!

All this happened because someone stole my drivers license info; think about all the places we share our IDs .... when we get a job, rent an apartments, stay at hotels, anywhere?! People need these services!"

“My 10-year term Life Insurance policy was coming up for renewal. I thought I did what I needed to do to cancel it, but, due to a misunderstanding, they continued to draw the premium from my bank account for one year. I called my LegalShield provider firm to discuss, and my lawyer wrote a demand letter. Unfortunately, the demand letter did not get the company to stop drafting me, so, my lawyer spelled out my options. Before taking the issue to Small Claims Court, I drafted an appeal letter to the insurance company and sent that in to my provider firm for review, and they told me to send it in. Once the insurance company reviewed my letter - the second for my case - they agreed with me, and I can now expect a full refund for monies mistakenly drawn out of my account. My issue was resolved to my 100% satisfaction. It was an incredible show of teamwork, and I feel very well supported.”
