Today, we said goodbye to OC TRIO's biggest shining star. We are so grateful for the years that we've had Katie as our guiding light, motivator, and friend. Katie was always there to greet every student with a smile and tirelessly went above and beyond to support them in whatever way they needed. We wish her well and will miss her more than there are words to convey. Thank you, Katie, for all of your years of service to Oxnard College.

And now we begin the goodbyes for now. 🥹🥹 So so so proud of all of you. None of you can possibly imagine how much you’ve changed our lives by deciding to be a part of TRIO. We are forever changed by the love, resilience, laughs, and wonderful memories you all gifted us with. We will miss you all, but my goodness we are ever so proud and honored to know you. Do not forget, we are here for you always & look forward to celebrating your wins, and being your support through the challenges. We are family, always. We are TRIO. 👊🙏❤️

Let’s just take one second to talk about Julian. Julian is most well known for his genuine love for his OC family. If there was a program, service, club, any space period- Julian is there. And the best part- he brings others with him. Julian is a part of so many wonderful campus communities, including , , and of course, our TRIO family. Julian was a recipient of the TRIO SSS scholarship award for his passion for serving others. He’s a brilliant computer scientist. And he taught us that there is such a thing as “ethical hacking.” We will miss Julian writing binary formulas all over the TRIO whiteboards. But we are SO SO SO proud of all that you have done. Your journey is just beginning.
