Talawanda High School physics and robotics club students joined over twenty other schools at Southern State Community College, where they showcased the work they completed this year. The students were given the challenge to 3D print, wire, and code the head of R2D2 for lights, motors, and sound.

They were able to meet other students from all around Ohio, and attend sessions on various careers in robotics, computer science, and engineering.

Of the over 1,300 students present, three Talawanda students earned awards for their work.

Mackenzie Neal earned 2nd place in the category of Paint Job!

Tyler Warren earned 4th place in the category of Operations!

Daniel Kidd earned 2nd place in the category of Electronics/Wiring!

The Ohio Code Scholar is grant-funded from an initiative to increase STEM Education in Ohio and is based out of Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, Ohio.

Great work Ms. Schran & students!
