On Friday we also hosted the 8th grade dance. (it was a super busy day with hosting the lunch for the staff in the morning and then the dance in the evening) but we have some pretty amazing HSA board members and parent volunteers, as well as high school students who helped us out. Huge thank you !!

New this year for the dance was a professional photo booth which kids had a blast with, a popcorn bar (each student got one FREE box of popcorn and trimmings) and walking tacos!
The 8th grade students had a blast!
Again, thank you for all the volunteers who help put this dance together. THANK YOU!!!

El viernes también organizamos el baile de 8o grado. (Fue un día súper ocupado con la organización del almuerzo para el personal por la mañana y luego el baile por la noche) pero tenemos algunos miembros de la junta y padres voluntarios bastante increíbles, así como estudiantes de secundaria que nos ayudaron. ¡¡Muchas gracias!!

Nuevo este año para el baile fue un “Photo Booth” profesional con el que los niños la pasaron en grande, una barra de palomitas de maíz (cada estudiante recibió una caja GRATIS de palomitas de maíz y adornos) ¡y “walking tacos”

¡Los estudiantes de octavo grado la pasaron genial! Una vez más, gracias a todos los voluntarios que ayudaron a armar este baile. ¡¡¡GRACIAS!!!

Day 5 of Teacher Appreciation Week

On Friday continuing with our theme, traveling around the world-the teachers landed in Mexico for a Mexican lunch. They were treated to steak tacos, chicken tacos, nachos with all the trimmings, the dessert and drinks. Again a huge thank you to all the Plank parents who donated drinks. We had enough to last us the whole week and some left over for today.
Plank teachers and staff were extremely appreciative and loved being celebrated each day this week. We could not have accomplished this without our amazing HSA Board, our parent volunteers, and donations from our amazing parents. THANK YOU!!

Día 5 de la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros

El viernes, continuando con nuestro tema, viajando por el mundo, los profesores aterrizaron en México para un almuerzo mexicano. Comieron tacos de carne, tacos de pollo, nachos con todos los adornos, postre y bebidas. Una vez más, muchas gracias a todos los padres de Plank que donaron bebidas. Tuvimos suficiente para toda la semana y algo sobró para hoy.

Los profesores y el personal de Plank fueron extremadamente agradecidos y les encantó ser celebrados cada día de esta semana. No podríamos haber logrado esto sin nuestra increíble Junta de HSA, nuestros padres voluntarios y las donaciones de nuestros increíbles padres. ¡¡GRACIAS!!

Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week

Today we treated our wonderful teachers and staff to “In-flight” snacks. We provided a popcorn bar with lots of add ons such as mini M&Ms, nuts, marshmallows, and such. We also had a great variety of drinks.
Huge, thank you to all the parents at Plank junior high who donated those drinks.
