What a perfect day. 🍂🌊
Kids splashing in the water at NASWA Resort NazBar & Grill, parents relaxed, fall foliage glowing all around us… and then the real magic happened. Our students stood up and sang patriotic songs that brought tears to the eyes of the veterans.
One of the little ones said to her mother, “I felt like crying after.”
“Because you were sad?” her mama asked.
“No mama,” she said. “Because I was happy.”
That moment? Pure Agape. North Star’s civic outreach is rooted in that ancient Greek word — unconditional, from-the-heart love.
The kids call her the Motorcycle Lady (or the Greek Lady with the dog named Agape), and she helped them learn what real giving looks like.
The veteran fundraiser raised over $10,000.
They learned charity isn’t a chore — it’s a gift.
And yes… Cynthia Makris Mama’s desserts may have sealed the deal. 🍰
Thank you for letting us give back the way we do best: through song, harmony, and a little peace. 🕊
Parent were grateful, full, and happy.
