πβ¨ Growing in Faith & Learning to Lead Through Service! β¨π
Our 5th & 6th graders had a wonderful day away with Miss Vargas on a special retreat to St. Peterβs Church in Newcastle, where they were joined by Holy Trinity from@ Hartington! πβοΈ
Led by Father Will, the retreat focused on Servant Leadershipβwhat it means to lead by serving others and how we can live out the Lordβs work in the simple, everyday things we do. β€οΈ
Throughout the day, students:
π€ Worked together through teamwork activities
π Spent time in silent prayer and reflection
π Created fun keychains
π Reflected on how they can be servant leaders at school, at home, with friends, and in their everyday lives
π Even during recess, they were challenged to notice when others were showing servant leadership!
After recess/time outside they came in and shared with each other what they noticed and learned about the different ways they were being servants in their games. What a wonderful reminder that being a servant leader isn't always about doing something bigβitβs often found in the small acts of kindness, patience, helping, and putting others first. ππ
We are so thankful to Father Will for leading this meaningful retreat, for Christina driving and to Holy Trinity for joining us for such a beautiful day of faith, fellowship, and fun! βοΈπ
