On Wednesday, September 30th OASD 4K classrooms hosted their first family event of the school year - Play to Learn Night! Families of our 4K students visited their 4K classroom and our youngest learners turned into tour guides and 4K experts. This event allows our students to showcase all that they learn through play to their family members. Each play center is intentionally designed to build children's skills and families can explore all the things their child is learning through play. Students also help their families complete a "Conscious Discipline Structures" scavenger hunt. They find and share about all of the different structures that are in our classrooms to help build their school family such as the School Family Jobs board, The Safe Place, Visual Schedules, Kindness Tree, and so many more! It was a fun night of learning and play.
