MISSION STATEMENT
The Silverstreak Gridiron Club is an organization of involved Parents, Family, and Friends who provide support to the football program at Osakis High School. It is our mission to provide financial support for the additional athletic and educational training of our players and coaches, and for the purchase of auxiliary equipment that benefits the footb
all team. We will also encourage and support teamwork, discipline, and the respect for others that comes from participating in athletic competition. We believe good sportsmanship is an integral component of athletic competition. In order for good sportsmanship to prevail, coaches, student-athletes, and fans must display respect, honesty and responsibility before, during and after all athletic contests. We encourage fans to enthusiastically support their team, recognize outstanding performance of opponents, and always exhibit good sportsmanship in their words and actions. We promote an enthusiastic and positive behavior at football games. We let our players play and our coaches’ coach. We recognize and promote the understanding that the only way to achieve our football program’s goals is to work together as families, community members, players and coaches. In order to facilitate this, the Gridiron Club will organize fundraising events for players, coaches’ community, and its families throughout the year.
