Health isn’t built in one extraordinary moment.
It’s built in ordinary days.
Meals.
Movement.
Water.
Sleep.
Stress.
Routine.
Those everyday moments matter more than most people realize.
Read this week’s Nicole’s Note #5.
WellieWay
WellieWay champions natural, sustainable wellness with lifestyle solutions for gut wellness, overall well-being, child constipation and family support.
Embrace balanced living over quick fixes without supplements or fad diets. Education not medical advice
We’ve accepted something that should have made us stop and ask more questions.
A child develops constipation?
Treat the constipation.
A child has eczema?
Treat the eczema.
A child has anxiety?
Treat the anxiety.
A child struggles with sleep?
Treat the sleep.
We’ve become so focused on managing symptoms that we’ve stopped asking the question that matters most:
What conditions created this in the first place?
That question changed my life.
It’s also the reason I wrote Built, Not Fixed.
I’m not suggesting every symptom has one cause or one solution.
I’m saying that if we only react after something goes wrong, we’ll spend our lives chasing the next symptom.
Children don’t build health from prescriptions.
They don’t build health from supplements alone.
They build health through the conditions they live in every single day.
That’s the conversation I believe more families need to have.
Because we don’t need more quick fixes.
We need a better model.

We've Started Calling Too Many Things "Normal."
Just because something has become more common doesn't automatically mean it's something we should stop questioning.
Over the years, we've watched more families navigate chronic constipation, sleep struggles, anxiety, picky eating, recurring stomach aches, and other health challenges. As these struggles have become more common, many parents have also started hearing the same message:
"It's normal."
At WellieWay, we believe families deserve more than reassurance that a symptom is common. We believe they deserve the opportunity to understand the bigger picture and ask better questions about what may be influencing their child's health over time.
That's the heart of this week's Nicole's Note.
If you've ever found yourself wondering, "Why isn't anything working?" or "What am I missing?" we hope this week's article gives you a new perspective.

We've Started Calling Too Many Things "Normal." | Nicole'e Note #4 Just because more children are struggling doesn't mean we should stop asking why they're struggling in the first place. In fact, I think it should make us even more curious. Let's dig in.

What if the problem isn’t your effort… but the model you’ve been following?
For years, I’ve watched families work incredibly hard.
They’ve changed diets.
They’ve bought supplements.
They’ve tried medications.
They’ve followed advice from multiple providers.
And yet…
Many still feel like they’re chasing one symptom after another.
That question stayed with me for years:
Why are so many families working so hard… and still feeling stuck?
That’s why I wrote Built, Not Fixed.
This isn’t a book about chasing the next health trend.
It’s about learning to think differently.
Because when we stop asking, “How do I fix this?” and start asking, “What conditions am I building every day?” everything begins to change.
My hope isn’t that this book gives families another protocol.
It’s that it gives them a new lens.

Some stories remind us exactly why WellieWay exists. 💜 ( see Google review below)
No parent imagines their child will spend years struggling with chronic constipation.
No parent expects multiple specialists, hospital admissions, or invasive procedures.
Every family is simply doing the best they can with the information they have at the time.
That’s why education is at the heart of everything we do.
This review is more than a success story.
It’s a reminder that when families are given a different way to understand their child’s health, they can make different decisions moving forward.
At WellieWay, our mission has never been to simply help families manage symptoms.
Our mission is to help families understand how health is built—so more children have the opportunity to thrive.
To Laura, thank you for trusting us with your daughter’s journey and for sharing your family’s story. We are honored to have been part of it, and we hope your words encourage another family to keep asking questions and seeking understanding.
💜 Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

🌟 It’s Finally Here! 🌟
Over the past year, many of you have heard me talk about the world of WellieWonders™ and the dream of creating children’s stories that make everyday wellness feel fun, exciting, and full of adventure.
Today, I’m so excited because that dream is becoming a reality.
📖 Our very first WellieWonders™ Adventure Book is here!
Welcome to the World of WellieWonders™: Your First Adventure
This story introduces children to five lovable friends:
Rooty™
Gutsy™
Sneaky™
Whispy™
Hooty™
Each one helps children discover healthy habits through imagination, kindness, curiosity, and adventure.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been sharing these stories with families before launch. Watching children light up, choose their favorite WellieWonder, and ask to read the story again has reminded me exactly why we started building this world.
And this is only the beginning.
More adventures, characters, and stories are already on the way.
✨ We’d love to invite your family into the world of WellieWonders™.

Did you know the official medical guidelines for childhood bathroom struggles changed in 2016? 🔬
Most parents I talk to have never been told this.
For decades, pediatricians viewed chronic withholding as just a physical plumbing issue. But in 2016, the world’s top GI experts released the updated Rome IV criteria, officially classifying it as a Disorder of Gut-Brain Interaction.
This was a massive shift! It meant the top medical researchers finally acknowledged that this is not just about the gut—it is a complex loop involving the nervous system, the brain (fear/anxiety), and the microbiome.
So why is the standard pediatrician protocol still just a synthetic flush?
Research shows the average pediatric well-visit lasts less than 15 minutes.
That is simply not enough time for a doctor to walk a parent through the complexities of the nervous system or how to rebuild the gut microbiome.
Because of these time constraints, the standard 15-minute model often falls back on quick fixes that force a physical result, but completely ignore the underlying nervous system response and the gut bacteria.
And the data shows us this approach isn’t working for long-term success. (Over a 5-year period, more than 1 in 3 kids using standard protocols still haven’t overcome the cycle).
There is a better way to support your child.
At WellieWay, we follow the science of the Gut-Brain connection. We don’t just flush the system; we support the whole child by soothing the nervous system, rebuilding the microbiome, and creating a safe environment for their body to naturally let go.

💩 FREE 5-DAY EVENT: "The Constipation Truth" has officially started! 💩
If you have been battling childhood constipation for months (or years) and you feel like you are trapped on an endless Laxative Ladder... you are not crazy, and you are not alone.
Day 1 of our free mini-series is officially live inside our private community!
Today's Topic: The Meconium Rule 💩
Did you know that passing meconium (that thick, dark newborn diaper) in the first 48 hours is an important green light?
If your child passed meconium in the hospital, and your doctor just told you to "give them MiraLAX," they have already decided your child is in the 95% majority whose physical anatomy is fully capable.
So... if their plumbing works, WHY are they so backed up now?
Because chronic childhood constipation is almost never a plumbing issue. It is a communication issue.
We are breaking the entire gut-brain connection down this week.
If you are ready to ditch the 15-minute medical model and actually end constipation for your child, come join us for the rest of the series!
👇 HOW TO JOIN: 👇
This series and all the daily homework/support are happening exclusively inside our private Facebook group.

WellieWay | Rootin’ for Poopin’ — Ending the Child Constipation Cycle
💩 The numbers are getting worse. Not better.
Laxative prescriptions for children have increased 6 times since 2006.
Hospital clean-outs for kids have nearly doubled in the last decade.
50% of children on daily laxatives are still not better after a full year.
1 in 3 American children now lives with a chronic health condition — up from 1 in 4 just ten years ago.
We are not fixing this. We are managing it. And the gap between those two things is where children are suffering every single day.
At WellieWay, we see this reality in the families who come to us after years of prescriptions, clean-outs, and ER visits with no resolution.
98%of them get better.
Not because we found a better laxative. Because we stopped chasing symptoms and started addressing the foundations — rhythm, real food, and a regulated nervous system.
Your child's body was designed to work. Sometimes it just needs the right support to remember how.
If your family is stuck in the cycle, we're here.

If your child is still struggling…
Going every few days
Withholding
Needing “help” to go
Dealing with accidents
Or stuck in the cycle of “it gets better… then worse again”
You already know this isn’t something they’re just going to outgrow.
And you’re probably exhausted from trying things that don’t actually fix it.
Here’s the truth:
Most families aren’t missing effort.
They’re missing the right structure.
That’s where we come in.
I’m opening up a limited number of clarity calls this week for families who are ready to:
✔️ Stop guessing
✔️ Understand what’s actually keeping their child stuck
✔️ Get a clear path forward (no overwhelm, no endless “tips”)
This is for you if:
• You’ve tried multiple things and nothing has lasted
• You feel like you’re managing it, not solving it
• You’re ready for real support and direction
If that’s you, comment CALL below or send me a message.
I’ll send you the details to book.
Let’s get your child out of this cycle—for good.
