Healthy Desserts to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

On Wednesday, June 7th, Florida Technical College, Kissimmee Campus, welcomed guest speaker “Chef Johana Clavel” who is a specialist in healthy cooking and has more than ten years of experience giving cooking workshops and conferences. Ms. Clavel shares her recipes and tips for a healthier lifestyle, and is also the creator of the ABC's of Healthy Desserts, a course for preparing healthy and nutritious desserts that compete head-to-head with full-fledged options. The Culinary/Baking Students enjoyed a demonstration of a Healthy Almond Cake with a Lemon Glaze.

Thank you to Stella Siracuza, the owner of Tomato Express Inc. here in Osceola county and an Osceola County Hispanic Business Council board member for guest speaking with our FTC Culinary/Baking students today. Ms. Siracuza had the opportunity to talk to our students about the importance of professionalism and being prepared to join the workforce in a competitive market. Stella, we appreciate you talking to our students and getting them better prepared for their future endeavors.

PREMIERE ORLANDO TRADESHOW

From June 3-5 students and instructors of FTC, Kissimmee Campus, participated in the Premiere Orlando Event at the Orange County Convention Center. Premiere Orlando is the place to explore everything that’s happening in the beauty industry – from the hottest hair color trends and cutting techniques, to high fashion nail art, edgy barber designs, in-demand day spa procedures, and plenty more! Licensed professionals are welcomed to this exclusive beauty industry tradeshow to connect with manufacturers and distributors of every area such as hair, nail, and skincare!
