Born out of the desire to maintain a binding connection with the original spirit and roots of Hip-Hop Culture, this movement has developed to ensure a “cornerstone” is laid, which will serve to consecrate the foundation of this beloved craft, and its core principles! We present to you: “5 ELEMENTS: The Gathering”!
“5 ELEMENTS: The Gathering” is an invitation to ALL members of the Hip-Hop Communit
y to come together and share the BEST of each element, in an environment designed to cultivate a sense of social awareness and empowerment. This event is developed to pay homage to many of the original pioneers and leaders of the Hip-Hop movement, and also to shed light on the many other gifted artists, who may have been easily over-looked by the current day commercialization and isolation of the culture. Each month, “5 ELEMENTS: The Gathering” will highlight (1) element as the focal point of the event, while always representing the other (4) in support of the primary. Each element that is highlighted is then hosted/mentored by a well-known (or sometimes not so well known) pioneer and practitioner of that particular art form, and becomes a platform of exposure for budding talent who may wish to hone their skills. Although ALL artist who enter, are equal in their right to express their element of choice, in order to maintain the peace and harmony of the event, there is in place a due process of examination and performance evaluation that will allow the council of event organizers to be selective in which talents are featured at each event. The sharing of information and resources, among like minded participants is vital to the strength and establishment of this movement. “5 ELEMENTS: The Gathering” provides an open air forum which will allow for the simultaneous collaboration of all the elements, coupled with a sense of education, community development, group economics, personal growth, and positive energy transference. Our goal is to become that “Beacon in the South” for any and all travelers who should come seeking an Oasis of reality and truth for all that is Hip-Hop! No matter if you’re 16 yrs old or 60 yrs old, if you love all that is Hip-Hop, then “5 ELEMENTS: The Gathering” is for YOU… SEE YOU THERE!
