Gratitude hits differently when you get to stand between two of your mentors. They hadn't seen each other in over 20+ years, and my heart is full to have both of them together again; celebrating ONIC's 40th Anniversary in Central Florida.

✨️As a panelist, they were not expecting me to share with the audience how they both impacted my life as a former ONIC youth participant.

💡Mrs. Alexis launched my career in non-profit as a teen; long before I fully understood the seeds being planted.

💡Soror Canara introduced me to the world of cultural arts and theater, including the brilliance of August Wilson.

✨️Serving as an ONIC Board Member for the past five years reminded me that ONIC is family. Our commitment to our residents goes far beyond roofs and walls. We build communities where people can truly thrive. There is so much more impact to make, so many more lives to touch, and so much more legacy to build in Central Florida.

Nine years ago, I gained a sisterhood that has shaped my life in the most powerful ways. 💡My reflection space is my vanity desk. I love makeup💄but it's also a space where I sit, slow down, and check in with myself. I take the time to look in the mirror and reflect about what I really want in life.
