As the year has come to an end, and many officer terms have ended...we're announcing an exciting opportunity to join our PSA at UCF E-Board!

In order to be eligible for the executive board position you must be a registered member of our organization, an enrolled student at UCF, and be in good academic standing. Further details are listed in our application! If you don't meet these requirements, keep an eye out for the general board positions that will be released in the summer.

Hey PSA folks, welcome to our first joint picnic with MSA for this semester 🤩. The picnic will be on April 2nd from 4PM - 8PM at Downey Park near UCF. Paid PSA and MSA members eat for free upon required RSVP’ing in the following link https://forms.gle/yVHWW9cPa8cD6Lpd8. Non-members are also welcomed and can use the same form to RSVP. Hello all! This is a reminder that we will be having our first event of Mock Mehla today at 7 PM EST on Zoom! This will be a workshop called "Untangling the Rishta Narrative" where we discuss cultural norms and acknowledge biases that may be unproductive.

Meet Amanda, one of our Creative Directors for the Spring 2021 PSA board! She is an aspiring Dental student and has her own dental account (.sdental). She is excited for Mock Mehla because she loves learning about Pakistani cultures and traditions.

On the week of February 22nd, we will be hosting 3 events on Zoom as part of Mock Mehla. The first, “Untangling the Rishta Narrative” will be a discussion based on the unnecessary pressure of marriage in the Desi community and ways to help combat it. The second, “Speed Dosti: Mujhse Dosti Karogi?” will be an event to meet new people and be familiarized with the Pakistani community at UCF! Finally, the Fancy Dress Show will involve a presentation of the cultural clothing of Pakistan and more, along with fun activities!

Meet Marya Ahmed, one of our Creative Directors for the Spring 2021 PSA at UCF board! She is an aspiring Physician’s Assistant and runs a cake business on the side (.llc)! For Mock Mehla, she is excited because she is looking forward to seeing how it turns out after the Mock Mehndi rebrand.
