⚠️ Heads up, Roberto Clemente Middle & Engelwood Elementary families! ⚠️

To help keep our students, walkers, and crossing guards safe, the City of Orlando is launching a new School Zone Speed Camera program this school year.

Cameras are being installed specifically in active school zones near our campuses:
Roberto Clemente Middle School (Westbound on Roberto Clemente Road)
Engelwood Elementary School (La Costa Drive)

Here is what you need to know before the school year starts:

🗓️ August 11 – September 24, 2026 (Warning Period):
The cameras go live on the first day of school. If a vehicle is caught going more than 10 mph over the active school zone speed limit, the registered owner will receive a warning notice in the mail (no fine).

🗓️ September 25, 2026 (Enforcement Begins):
Full enforcement officially starts. Any driver going 10+ mph over the active school zone limit will be mailed a $100 Notice of Violation.

Let’s lead by example, keep our eyes on the road, and slow down in our school zones to keep our Jaguars and Eagles safe! 🐆🦅

Hello Roberto Clemente Families,

The Orlando After-School All-Stars school year registration is open. The before and after-school program will begin on August 11, 2026, and continue throughout the year in accordance with the OCPS calendar. The program operates Monday through Friday in the morning from 7:30am to 9:30am and until 6:00pm after school. 🐾 Building our Roberto Clemente Middle School IB Magnet family! 🐾

What an incredible day kicking off the new school year at our Summer Magnet Camp! This camp was all about helping our students dive into what it means to be a true IB Magnet scholar at RCMS.

Our students jumped headfirst into hands-on learning across our 5 IB-centered stations—from collaborative STEM engineering and historical artifact inquiry to immersive Spanish marketplace negotiations!

It was wonderful watching our brand-new students bond with their peers and welcoming back our mentoring magnet students, who did an amazing job guiding our newest Jaguars. 💛❤️

We loved giving our families the opportunity to learn all about the upcoming school year and connect with other magnet families. Together, we are building a supportive, inspired community ready to take on the year ahead!

Huge shoutout and thank you to ! 🙌
We are so incredibly grateful to their amazing team for coming in and rolling up their sleeves to assist our custodial staff. Thanks to their hard work, we successfully moved furniture out of the classrooms to prepare them for deep cleaning and floor waxing! It’s a massive job, and we couldn't be more thankful for the extra hands. Community partnerships like this make all the difference. 💙🧽✨
🎉 Fun Fact: Did you know that next year we will be hosting our first-ever Elevate class for 8th graders? We are so excited to expand this incredible program and continue supporting our students' growth!

I am so incredibly proud of the massive achievement of all of our students and teachers at Roberto Clemente Middle School! Receiving a B grade is a truly momentous occasion that highlights the immense hard work and dedication of the entire school community.

The huge growth across all subject areas—including ELA, math, science, and a stunning 19-point increase in civics—shows a true commitment to academic excellence from everyone involved. This achievement is a reflection of the incredible work and effort of our students and teachers!
