🀄⚽ What a lively night at the Marketplace!
On August 3, Asia Trend celebrated International Mahjong Day with another lively Mahjong Meetup at the Marketplace at Avalon Park — and the community showed up in full force. With more than 50 players gathered around 9 buzzing Mahjong tables blending seasoned Mahjong enthusiasts with curious first‑timers eager to learn.

We were thrilled to welcome special guests from the Baldwin Park Mahjong Club, and Asia Trend’s board members guided newcomers through the fundamentals of Hong Kong–style Mahjong. Across the room, groups were also enjoying American Mahjong, turning the Marketplace into a vibrant, multicultural Mahjong playground.

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, learn, and connect. The tiles were clicking, the energy was high, and the community spirit was unbeatable. 🀄✨**

A quick fun fact:
Hong Kong (HK) Mahjong is widely recognized as one of the easiest and most accessible styles for beginners to learn, particularly among traditional, non-card-based variants. Its popularity stems from its straightforward rules, fast pace, and clear scoring, often acting as a "gateway" to other Chinese mahjong variations.

This was our third Mahjong Meetup in just three months, and the momentum keeps growing. Huge thanks to Avalon Park Orlando and the Marketplace at Avalon Park for sponsoring the venue and supporting this community‑building event. We can’t wait to be back for the next one! 🎉
