Summer road trips. Beach runs. Extra traffic with potentially more stress. 🌞🚗

Before you head out, ask yourself — are you really road-ready?

Sleep & Stress managed?
Attitude in check?
Vehicle maintained?
Educated on where you're driving?
Staying aware of your surroundings?

This is the SAVES framework — and it could be the difference between a great trip and a bad day on the road.

Did you know that motorcycles are often not detected by your blind spot technology?

In 2025, 6pm was the highest hour of day with the most motorcycle fatalities in Florida per signal4Analytics.

Motorcyclists often feel invisible on the road, fearing drivers will overlook them while changing lanes or turning. Their smaller size and higher speeds make them susceptible to being misjudged.

Enhance visibility by keeping headlights on and avoiding blind spots. When moving quickly between lanes, think about how long it might take for drivers to notice and react. Here’s a great checklist to help before every ride.

Thanks, Blockbuster. While their slogan still lives on and advertisers often use the rewind feature in safety belt commercials, unfortunately in real life, we can’t.

Wearing your safety belt is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect yourself and your passengers on the road.

⏯ On average, every 54 minutes a passenger vehicle occupant not wearing a safety belt dies in a traffic crash. (NHTSA).

⏯ In 2024, 48% of passenger vehicle occupants were unrestrained. (NHTSA)

⏯ In 2025, Sundays had the most occupant fatalities in car crashes around child car seats and safety belts in Florida. (Signal4Analytics)

Remember, wearing your safety belt is a simple act of kindness to yourself and those who care about you. Stay safe, buckle up, and help spread the word—because in real life, you can't rewind.

Cyclists may believe that drivers always see them or will instinctively give them enough space. However, a driver’s blind spot can easily hide a bike, leading to close encounters or collisions.

In 2024, 1,103 bicyclists were killed in traffic crashes in the U.S. (NHTSA)

Picture maneuvering a large vehicle through traffic while trying to spot smaller vehicles and pedestrians.

Cyclists can do their part by wearing helmets & reflective gear, using hand signals, and following traffic rules.

Drivers, do your part by giving them distance on the road.

Tomorrow is National Bike to Work Day, are you going to participate?

Most driving mistakes don’t start on the road
 they start within you.

Before you even turn the key, you’re bringing something with you—

That’s not coincidence—it’s your internal surroundings showing up behind the wheel.

We’re taught to watch our mirrors, check blind spots, and scan for hazards.
But the biggest influence on how we drive?
👉 Our mindset, emotions, and physical state.

Jenn broke down how the lifestyle medicine pillars—like sleep, stress, nutrition, and more—quietly shape our decisions on the road (and what you can start noticing today).
