Thank you to friends and family who checked in on us during the storm. We never lost power and only a few small branches down. We're very lucky and hope our neighbors who did lose power are up and running soon. Meanwhile, for the first time in months, we have the sliding doors open and the foster kittens and our own cats are having a BALL running in and out of the house to the porch! At least we can thank Milton for ushering in some cooler weather.

Had to post this darling pic of one of my recent foster kitties, Luna, in her favorite napping spot. Luna is now in her new home and has a big brother kitty! I have another girl Siamese kitten who will be ready to go home next week, if you're interested DM me.

Our shelter desperately needs dog fosters! This is a great way to enjoy having and caring for a dog in need without a full commitment (unless of course you Foster Fail!). Fostering with Orange County Animal Services is easy and fun. You're provided with all the supplies and medical care - all you have to do is give the love and space in your home. Are roars and purrs related? It turns out only cats (large or small) make those noises, and if a type of feline purrs then it doesn't roar. Weird, right? And what if our housecats could roar? Why can't they? Find out more here:

Like other cat fosterers, at Kitten School I go through a MOUNTAIN of litter. That sent me on a search for something safer, more eco-friendly, and, most of all, CHEAPER. Then I discovered pine pellets!
