Big news for Florida homeschool families!
The Florida House and Senate reached a budget deal this weekend that keeps $4.5 billion for homeschool and private school scholarships fully funded for the 2026-27 school year. A formal vote is expected this Friday.
According to WUSF, the chambers agreed to keep scholarship funding inside the main K-12 funding formula, meaning PEP and FES-UA funds are protected heading into the new school year.
If you're a Step Up family, your scholarship dollars are not going anywhere. π

The House and Senate reached agreement late Sunday night on several issues, including a plan to transfer control of the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus to New College of Florida, which the House wanted but the Senate resisted until late in budget negotiations.

OK Florida scholarship families β did you see the news? The teachers union just filed a lawsuit trying to shut down PEP and FES-UA. I know some of you are freaking out so hereβs what you need to know.
This just got filed 4 days ago. These cases take YEARS. Florida survived almost the exact same lawsuit in 2006 and vouchers are still here.
