Florida lawmakers reach a budget deal with a vote set for Friday 05/26/2026

Big news for Florida homeschool families!

The Florida House and Senate reached a budget deal this weekend that keeps $4.5 billion for homeschool and private school scholarships fully funded for the 2026-27 school year. A formal vote is expected this Friday.

According to WUSF, the chambers agreed to keep scholarship funding inside the main K-12 funding formula, meaning PEP and FES-UA funds are protected heading into the new school year.

If you're a Step Up family, your scholarship dollars are not going anywhere. πŸŽ‰
