If you saw my previous post about making a basic skills choice board, it’s done!

This board is not a movement board like my others but includes songs for shapes, colors, letters and numbers. I use one similar to this as a transition to our academic centers. We have an extra recess time when we go to the playground (weather permitting) and I put this board on when we come back to the classroom. Students are encouraged to sit, relax and drink some water while students are chosen to pick a song. The board I previously used had 3 categories and we picked one song from each category before transitioning to our work time (reading/writing, math, independent work drawers).
