Oh hey!👋🏻 Remember me?

I’ve been a little MIA because I’ve been busy doing a thing… SURVIVING MY FIRST WEEK AS A KINDERGARTEN TEACHER!!!😂

And I did it!!!🙌🏻

I’m tired, my teacher voice has officially been activated, and I’ve said “walking feet” and “class class” more times than I could possibly count… but Week 1 is DONE!

Definitely still figuring this whole thing out 😂 but I already love my little crew and I’m so excited for this year!

Your girl is officially a Kindergarten teacher!💜

Technically Day 2… because Day 1 was mostly unloading everything.

✨Build furniture.
✨Move furniture.
✨Stare at the room.
✨Chat with coworkers for 20 minutes.
✨Move the furniture back.
✨Chat some more.
✨Wonder where the last hour went.
✨Stare at the room for the nth time.

Somehow finish one bulletin board. I’ll call that a successful day!😂

✨ Starting a new series: My Classroom Non-Negotiables!

As an incoming kindergarten teacher, these are the things I’m not setting up my classroom without. Some are for me, some are for my students, and some just make classroom life a little easier.

Will this list change after my first year? Probably. 😅 But these three have already earned a spot.

I’m excited to see how this list changes (or doesn’t!) after my first year!

Day 3 is a wrap!✨

Today was full of breakout sessions, live model lessons, and so many “writing this down for August” moments!

Loved the reminder that the magic isn’t just in the fun ideas, it’s in the expectations, routines, relationships, and the way we lead our little learners. 🤍

I can’t believe tomorrow is already the last day. Trying to soak up every minute!🥹

My brain is full, my notes are full, and my teacher heart is SO inspired. 🥹

Taking in every idea, every reminder, and every little nugget I can as I prepare to welcome my very first class in August!💜

Halfway there… 2 more days to go!

One thing about me... if it's cute and for the classroom, it's probably ending up in my cart. Within reason of course!😂
