On this final day of March and National Athletic Training Month, we would love to give a huge shoutout to our athletic trainers Mrs. Kiley O’Neill and Miss Dana Matz. They work many hours to make sure our athletes can stay healthy and continue to participate throughout the year. They are two of the most selfless and caring people we know, and not thanked enough for their service to Lake Nona High School athletics, so we wanted to make sure they knew we appreciate them. Thank you so much for leading our program and being such amazing people. Happy National Athletic Training Month!

We want to thank our seniors for all their hard work, effort, and dedication to the Athletic Training Student Aide Program! We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for continuing the legacy of the program. The rain wasn’t ideal, but it’s certainly a memory that will last forever. Go Lions! 🦁

Please give a warm welcome to our new Assistant Athletic Trainer, Miss Dana Matz. 💙

Dana will be serving Lake Nona High School as a teacher and the Assistant Athletic Trainer during her first year with OCPS. She has previously worked with CORA Physical Therapy at various OCPS high schools. She also has experience in performing arts and collegiate athletics. Dana is a graduate of The Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. She then continued her studies at Youngstown State University in Ohio where she received her Master of Health and Human Service degree with a concentration in Health Administration.

We’re very excited to have Dana as a part of our team!
