You have to love when you get a phone call from one of your student's moms telling you that her child's teacher has seen huge progress in my student's (tutoring student) phonetic skills and reading! The teacher wants to know if she can refer me to other parents whose kids need help! So cool!
Folks, be intentional to make progress in life! A little intentionality goes a long way and fosters more intentionality in other areas of your life.

It is so fun when appreciation gifts get dropped off at your house! Mason is a sweet student of mine, who is graduating from kindergarten today, with much improved reading skills! He gets up early to meet with me for 15 minutes four times a week, before he runs off to school! I am so proud of this kid! He is a hard worker! God is going to do great things with him!

I am truly honored to work with some amazing families right now. Students enjoy learning when they realize they "can" do it! Be an encourager to the students in your life. It makes a huge difference!

I am excited to start with a new student this afternoon who is struggling with reading. It is such a joy to see excitement on a student's face when they begin to understand the foundational skills of reading. I always enjoy teaching the basic sounds of the vowels and phonetic sounds (ck, sh, eigh, ou, etc.) that help us read words. These foundational skills are what help us decode and pronounce them correctly.

I created this account last fall as a mere way of starting up private teaching after a long time run with online English teaching to students in other countries. I now have come to a time when I am more available for tutoring. I prefer to tutor online through Zoom. I have a lot of resources at home easily available as I tutor. I am possibly available for local in-person tutoring if that is a must.
My passion is helping students grasp basic skills that are foundational to future skills. I especially enjoy helping students with reading skills and math skills.
