3rd, 4th, & 5th grade had a great time at the Orchestra field trip yesterday.

Congratulations to a job well done by our 2 singers on stage Oliver and Ethan. They did a wonderful job representing Wedgefield School.

UPDATE: Recorders will be sold at school this Thursday 8/28/25 at 6pm during MS instrument rental night.

This year in music class, all 3rd–5th grade students will be learning the soprano recorder. This instrument helps students read music and build important music skills. Each student will keep and reuse their recorder from year to year.

📅 Recorders are needed by Friday, September 5th
• If your child already has one, please send it to the music room.
• Once recorders arrive, they’ll be stored at school during the year and sent home each summer.

🎶 Rockin’ Rockets Chorus & Orff Ensemble 🎶

4th and 5th grade students at Wedgefield are invited to join the Rockin’ Rockets Club—a combination of Chorus and Orff Ensemble where students will sing and play instruments!

📅 Practice Schedule:
• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:30–8:30 AM (starting September 16th)
• 5th Grade Safety Patrols will be dismissed at 8:15 AM for their posts.

📌 Important Dates:
• Registration closes: September 2nd
• After registration closes, our bookkeeper will add the fee to School Cash Online
• Payment due in School Cash Online: September 9th
• First practice: September 16th at 7:30 AM in the music room
