Juneteenth is a celebration of liberation—and a reminder of the resilience, brilliance, and strength of Black and Brown communities across generations.

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally received word that they were free.

Today, we honor their courage, acknowledge the struggle that continued long after that day, and celebrate the ongoing pursuit of justice, equity, and true freedom.

May we learn. May we uplift. May we continue the work.

Registration for my in-person Summer College Prep Bootcamp at Brookpark opens on June 22nd at 8:00 AM, but get a head start completing the attached Google Form in the comments. We are diving deep into essay writing, FAFSA/financial literacy, and ACT/SAT strategy—plus everyone gets a physical workbook! 📘

QUICK QUESTION FOR MY ONLINE FAMILY: I’ve already had a few parents ask... “What if the Monday night in-person time doesn't work for our schedule, or we are outside the Grove City area?”

If there is enough interest, I am highly considering opening up a LIVE Online Cohort (serving our EST & CST fam!) so no student gets left behind this summer.

Some of our students are waking up to TEST DAY, and I just want to send a little love into the universe for them. 🌅📚

Take a deep breath. Move with confidence. Trust what you’ve practiced.
Growth doesn’t always look the same for every student, but effort always shows up somewhere — in skills, in stamina, in self‑belief.

To every student testing today:
