Through access to natural elements, plants, and animals we introduce a multi-sensory environment at a natural pace. Chestnut Nature Kids is a non profit Youth Empowerment Program.

Took the girls and our long legged English horses around barrels yesterday🤣. It was challenging getting them to ride straight and away from their herd. It wasn’t fast but it was valuable 🤗

🥚 IT’S HAPPENING… OUR FIRST EMU IS HATCHING! 🐣

The day has finally come… our very first emu baby is hatching. 💛
The egg has pipped, we can see movement inside, and hear tiny chirps coming from within. It’s hard to describe the excitement of waiting all this time and now witnessing the very first signs of this little one entering the world.

There’s something almost prehistoric and magical about it—an ancient life stirring inside that beautiful dark green shell. Every wiggle, every peep, feels like a miracle.

Stay tuned… if all goes well, we may be welcoming our first emu chick very soon. We can hardly contain ourselves. 🥹✨

Our female emu Cana has layed 12 eggs! We have the first four inside in an incubator and are waiting patiently for them to hatch. Our male emu Cornelius is sitting on 8. They are due in a few weeks!
