Throughout the summer, we’ll be introducing the newest members of the OPS family. Today, we are excited to welcome Mrs. Griffin Crider who is new to the Upper School English department.

"Hello everyone!

My name is Griffin Crider, and I am thrilled to be joining the OP Tribe as the 8th Grade ELA, English I, and Entrepreneurship teacher. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of getting to know many of our students while serving as a substitute teacher, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I am over the moon to share my love of literature, writing, and learning with them this year.

I grew up in the Upstate and attended Clemson University, where I met my husband, Wesley. He is a sixth-generation farmer in Bamberg, and together we are raising our two children, who also attend Orangeburg Prep.

When I'm not at school, you can usually find me with my nose in a book, my hands in the garden, or spending time with my family and our dog. I am looking forward to a wonderful year and can't wait to partner with our students and families."

Throughout the summer, we’ll be introducing the newest members of the OPS family. Today, we are excited to welcome Mrs. Teresa Martin as our new Middle School Math Teacher!

Mrs. Martin brings more than 24 years of educational experience to Orangeburg Preparatory School. During her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, math interventionist, and teacher coach, helping students and fellow educators achieve success through meaningful learning experiences and strong relationships.

She believes every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to connect learning to the real world. Her classroom is built on high expectations, engaging instruction, and a commitment to helping students grow in confidence and achievement.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Martin is a proud wife, mother, and Nana who enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cruising, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and connecting with others through her online business, Southern Grace Boutique and More.

We are thrilled to have Mrs. Martin join the Tribe and look forward to the positive impact she will make in the lives of our students and school community.

Over the past week, five rising OPS seniors attended Palmetto Girls State and Boys State, where they joined student leaders from across South Carolina to learn about government, citizenship, leadership, and public service through a hands-on experience in the democratic process.

Representing OPS were Emmaline Dangerfield, Mary Legare Delaney, Morgan Gue, Parker Gray, and Maxx Judy. We are proud of these students for embracing this unique opportunity to grow as leaders and make connections with peers from across the state.
