How can you securely vote in person in California?
Bring your Vote-by-Mail (VBM) ballot and return envelope when you vote in person to show you are registered and haven’t voted yet.

You do not have to give up your VBM ballot or envelope at the polls.

Request using a paper ballot instead of a machine.

If paper voting isn’t available, request to cast your completed VBM ballot without the envelope. If the polling center manager says you can't, ask them to call the county hotline for confirmation.
