🌟 Proud to have the support of Orange City Councilwoman Ana Gutierrez, a dedicated public servant and public school teacher.🍊

Ana is the first person born and raised in the El Modena barrio to serve on our City Council. She is deeply invested in our community and fights hard for the people in her district.

🧡Ana has always been a great partner, especially helpful in keeping crossing guards for our schools. I'm so grateful for her partnership and her endorsement!

It’s Banned Books Week
Parents deserve a voice in their children’s education—and so do students, educators, and the broader community.
As candidates campaign on “parents’ rights,” it’s worth looking beyond the buzzwords and asking what their policies would actually do:
* Would they restrict access to books in public schools or libraries?
* Would they limit what educators can teach?
* Would their proposed policies apply equally to all families, or give some parents greater control over what everyone can access?
* Do their proposals comply with existing law and constitutional protections?
Parents’ rights should be examined through the policies behind the slogan. During Banned Books Week, let’s ask candidates for specifics—and make sure every student can learn, read, and encounter ideas without unnecessary censorship.
