St. Johns Country Day School C/O '88

Hello everyone: I received this email from Gayle Garrison, Director of Alumni Relations, as I'm sure most of of y'all did, but thought I would share with everyone here. Anyone have any suggestions on trying to get us all together for some sort of reunion? I mean its been 30 years y'all..30 YEARS!!!!

"Hello to the St. Johns Class of 1988
I just wanted to check back in and see if you all had planned a 30th reunion? If not and there are enough people that would like to do one, I am happy to help plan something.
Please let me know if I can be of any assistance. A great option if you don't want to plan anything, is to have everyone from your class gather at our annual Spring Fling event on Friday, May 3 in the evening. Even though it will be 2019 by then, you could still celebrate! It is a lovely event every year with dinner, drinks, and music out on the deck (weather permitting).

It was a sad, heavy heart that I announce that John Nichols has passed away yesterday from pancreatic cancer. I am truly in shock and at a loss for words. He was great person, friend, teacher and coach! RIP Big John!

If anyone is in town and has a minute to stop by, please come by and help us celebrate!!! Grover Howard is retiring after 35 years at St. John’s!

Heads up my peeps, I’ll be heading to town next week to help with Poppa’s (Grover Howard) retirement party. Apparently, my mom is thinking about retiring as well from St. John’s! Wow!! So if anyone is around and wants to meet up for a mini reunion, let me know! Can’t believe it’s been 30 years, since we graduated.....THIRTY. How can it be????

I’ll be in town the weekend of June 9th for Grover Howard’s retirement party, maybe we can whip up a reunion, if anyone is available.

Okay everyone, we REALLY need to get it in gear and start making plans for our reunion, since we are now in April. I suggest we try to do a weekend in OP and go from there. Plus, those that can make alumni weekend in Oct will be great as well. Also, this June, my Poppa, Grover Howard, will be retiring from St. John’s after 30 something years. He and I started St. John’s together back in ‘83.

So anyone have ANY ideas, so we can get this ball rolling????
