Walking the tightrope of a professional conflict is one of the hardest skills to master. In our COR 201 class, students recently practiced this balance during their Conflict Management dialogues. ⁣

By wrestling with high-stakes issues, NMC graduates learn how to stand firm in their convictions while maintaining deep respect for the person across from them. These are the well-rounded leaders who will define the future of healthcare.⁣

Claire is 10, but she’s already found her superpower. An alumna of our Friends & Family CPR class, this fourth-grader is well qualified to save a life. In fact, it gave her so much confidence, she decided to come back for Stop the Bleed training. What a rockstar!

This is the fourth and final video in our series with Union Bank & Trust. Over the last year, they've partnered with NMC to offer fun, free, on-site CPR training to every employee. We can't thank them enough for being a partner, and letting us document their incredible culture.

For students at NMC, the poverty sim is a tone-setter. Throughout their education, they put insight into action through our community-based care model.⁣
⁣
In 2025 alone, NMC students provided more than 15,000 hours of healthcare services to 16,000 patients through our Center for Health Partnerships. This hands-on work with community members instills a "heart set" and "mindset" that can’t be taught in a lab. ⁣
⁣

NMC’s newest student association knows how to create a sense of belonging. When 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐀) officially launched this month, the energy at their kickoff party was 𝘥𝘦 𝘭𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘢. Tamales, pupusas, storytelling… after a few games of Loteria (a traditional Mexican bingolike), LUNA felt 𝘥𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦. ⁣

With LUNA’s blessing, we created an original cumbia track to celebrate their founding. The video honors their mission of cultural awareness by remixing NMC iconography in classic Lotería style (look out for heart and dove imagery). Presented in both Spanish and English, it reflects a community finding its voice and its rhythm together.⁣

Rounding the corner on OT Month with the best crew in the game. The "Year 1 Aura" at NMC is a mix of serious skill-building and cohort co-evolution. 🧬⁣

It’s found in the quiet focus of the anatomy lab and the loud energy of a Deja Brew run. It’s that shift from "how do I do this?" to "how do we solve this?" There’s a sense of mutual support here that turns a heavy courseload into a shared mission.⁣

It takes a cohort to build the empathy, clinical intuition, and self-belief required to be a practicing OT. We’re not just learning the work; we’re growing into it together. 💡⁣
