Hugs and smiles were the norm on the first day of classes yesterday at Concordia Schools of Omaha! The best part was having all 13 grades under the SAME roof! Have a great school year, Mustangs!

Since 2007, Mrs. Gail Klemp has been a valuable asset to Concordia Schools of Omaha, heading up the Academic Success Center Program and assisting students of all ages. Today she was honored with the Walter and Nancy Griffith Isaiah Leadership Award (Concordia Teacher of the Year!) Mrs. Klemp - we thank you for your dedication and service!

School starts back up this week! Prepare your Academy student by attending today's "Welcome Back to School Night" from 4:00-6:00 PM! See you there!

Here goes the last round of our newest staff additions!

Mrs. Rachael Means has a lot to offer Concordia with her background: a homeschool teacher, member of the Des Moines Symphony, member of the Mahr String Quartet, and private cello instructor! She also has been to 3 other continents for music or for a mission.

Mrs. Hannah Engelman is joining us from Council Bluffs Community Schools where she taught middle school vocal music education. Mrs. Engelman was a part of a professional Mexican dance troupe for 15 years!

Let's start meeting our new staff! Today please welcome Mrs. Kate Mueller and Mrs. Danielle Cornell.
Kate Mueller (pictured left) has a new position at Concordia as a Resource Teacher.
After serving previously as a resource teacher at a K-8 Lutheran School in Indianapolis, she has been a stay-at-home mom for the last 8 years. Kate is looking forward to building relationships and getting to know students again - things she's missed out on in recent years. A fun fact is that Kate's husband (Mr. Matt Mueller) and her are high school sweethearts from CHS.
Danielle Cornell will be serving as our School Nurse for all grades K-12. Her previous position was oncology nursing at Nebraska Med center. She is most looking forward to meeting all the students and getting to educate and help them with their health needs. Danielle also met her husband Stephen at Concordia High School!!

It's time to get ready to Mingle! Mark your calendars now for a great way to kick off the new school year. We'll see you there!

We have moved - is now on ! Thank you to I-Go United Van Lines and all the staff, parents and other volunteers who made the process go so smoothly. Materials have been moved into the existing classroom spaces, which all have finished floors/cleaned carpets and newly painted walls! Construction on the new classrooms and entry is also progressing well! We can't wait to welcome students back in August!
