Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design has done it again! They have just added 3 new sizes of the First Choice rulers. I have added them to my tool box and think you should too!
You asked! We've heard your requests for more sizes of our First Choice rulers. We are thrilled to introduce three new sizes!
The 4" x 8" is perfect for miniatures or marking specialty units like Shaded Four Patch or Flock of Birds.
The 3" x 18" makes quick work of cutting strips and is ideal for pre-cuts like fat quarters and jelly rolls.
The 8" x 24" does it all! Sometimes a larger ruler is just what you need. We love it for trimming projects that are set on point.
Where can you buy these new rulers? Right now the 3" x 18" and 8" x 24" are exclusively available from quilt shops and small retailers. The 4" x 8" can be purchased on our website, along with the two original sizes, 7" x 13" and 4" x 14".
Deb believes that quilt shops are the heartbeat of the quilting community! Be sure to ask your favorite shop about all of the First Choice rulers. We think these new sizes will be your First Choice!

Happy New Year! I have been at retreat with friends since Tuesday and we are having a great time working on our quilt projects.
I finished Watch Chain by Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design. I will be giving it to Project Linus in Dodge NE.
Started working on a Quilt of Valor and putting sashing and borders on my blocks Tag along 2 from Tucker University.
If you have been working on sewing/quilting projects over the New Year’s holiday I would love to see them.

Edited: The reveal day is really Dec 18th. The rest of the CI’s will be posting their final blocks tomorrow, if only I could keep my days straight….
Today is reveal day for BlockBusters #27 Roll the Dice. I love black fabric with small bright prints and this was no exception. I could not decide which of the large blocks I liked best, so I decided to show you both of my 12” block, along with a 4 ½” block, because small blocks are fun to make.
Now that you are seeing what the Certificated Instructors have done with this block, why not make a few yourself. You can download the pattern with this link

It’s sneak peak time for the December BlockBuster Challenge. This block uses the Square Squared and the Split Rects tool.
How many times have you forgotten to trim your center square when using the Square Squared tool? I know that I have forgotten a few times. When I am using this tool, after I have put 2 sides on my center square, I do a quick check to make sure they are lining up with the markings on the tool. (I used some glow line tape on the tool to give you a better look). It is so much quicker to only have rip out 2 seams.

It is time for the BlockBusters Certified Instructor challenge for December. This month we are using #27 “Roll the Dice”. This should be a fun block using 2 tools from Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design, the Split Rects and Square Squared.
This month I found a great piece from Clothwork’s Laurel Burch Confetti 2 collection and will be pairing that with pieces of Stof’s Melange Basic fabric line.
