Students are doing amazing things at Charleston County School District!

Huge congratulations to Charleston County School of the Arts Middle & High School Junior vocal major Meredith Leeke, who was featured in the Moultrie News for earning the National Medal for Outdoor Achievement, one of the rarest and most prestigious honors in Scouting nationwide.

This award represents years of sustained commitment, leadership, and service, with requirements that extend far beyond those of the Eagle Scout. Meredith’s journey includes extensive backpacking and hiking, conservation service, advanced outdoor training, and leadership experiences that reflect real grit and purpose.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Meredith not just for the medal, but for the dedication, resilience, and curiosity it represents. She is a powerful example of what long-term commitment and passion can accomplish.

Way to go, Meredith. Your work inspires us all.
