In 1931 in Kiel, Germany, Rachel Posner, the wife of a rabbi, took this picture.

On the back of the photograph she wrote:

“‘Death to Judah,’ so the flag says.

‘Judah lives forever,’ so the light answers.”

The light will continue to answer the darkness. Happy Hanukkah.

What an awesome class this year! 🇩🇪

Impenetrable mist during our visit to Hitler’s Eagles Nest, but rewarding nonetheless, feeling a quiet, peaceful alpine mountainscape envelop what once was a place of conspiracy amongst the German leader and his servants such as Goebbles (last photo in front of an Italian marble fireplace - a gift from fellow dictator Mussolini). ⛰️

Wonderful to be in Salzburg with this year’s class!

Our students are currently in Poland learning from some of the best! We are beyond thankful to our presenters for taking the time to speak with the class.

Yesterday, our students went on a walking tour through Nuremberg after class! We started with a 10-minute rain downpour, but the sun eventually came out and the students had a blast!
