Let’s throw some icing on that graduation cake! and I did a PNW tour and reconnected with old friends while we were on that side of the country. were terrific hosts and tour guides and we soaked in the beauty of deep conversation and God’s creation. There’s nothing like friendship that rekindles quickly despite years and geography. Feels like a glimpse of heaven on earth. Just to extend our continuous date, we joined a pickleball league, which is really not anything like heaven, in my opinion, but if no one is angry about losing I guess it could be fun….we’ll see. (And by “no one” I definitely mean .) After week one I *think* we still love each other, but I saw too many signs of hope so someone is bound to be disappointed. (Yes, “someone” and “no one” are the same person.)

My heart is full. Celebrated the culmination of a 3 year journey at Western Seminary with an incredible cohort of leaders serving Jesus all over the world. This whole thing has been evidence of God’s incredible kindness. The generosity of my church family to encourage and support me in pursuing a Master’s degree, believing in me and picking up my slack at home, for admitting me into the program and caring so personally for me and all his students, AND all of the passionate men and women in the #1 zoom cohort who made me think and made me laugh and made me want to be on zoom for 8 hours at a time. Bonus that my long time friend attended my graduation and hosted us in Portland. Grateful for all of it.
