How I've gotten through this many years of teaching and am only now hearing of this book is kind of mind-blowing. I've been shouting from the rooftops about psychological and physical safety for teaching professionals for YEARS.

This is on my nightstand and will be a chapter by chapter reflection every week. As you head back to school this week or soon after, remember that you come first, your family comes first, your rest, your health, your emotional safety ALL COME FIRST. Work your contract hours, arrive and depart on time, don't bring work home, and put down your technology to be present when you're home!

We are in the classroom because we love what we do and the time is now to put our needs at the top of the list. You've got this. ♥️♥️♥️

Back to primary I go...

My excitement cannot be contained! New school (literally), new POSITIVE colleagues, new outlook, a wonderful pair of admins (they're huggers!), ready to jump back in with both feet and make an impact on kids, families, and community.

Summer break with my girls and a chance to truly rest, unwind, rejuvenate, and get ready for the best year yet.

Fall tutoring sessions are now open! This year, I will run TWO K-2 groups and TWO 3-5 groups. Dates will run approx. Nov. 10th-Feb. 6th and Feb. 16th-Apr. 24th, with holiday breaks based on typical district calendars. Space is limited to 5 students per group and there will be no 1:1 library dates - however, cutting from 12 week to 9 week sessions will allow me to accommodate 20 students!
