Due to the inclement weather and anticipated road conditions, Omaha Public Schools is canceling classes for Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.

It is a school closure day, and there will be no remote learning. Omaha Public Schools Foundation Kids Club, TAC and other district offices will also be closed.

After-school competitions will proceed as scheduled.

Take the night off from cooking tonight because today, January 13, 2026, is our benefit night at Jimmy John's from 4-8 pm! Delicious!

Kindergarten Registration will be held on January 16, 2026. Families will have the option to attend one session, either from 2-3 p.m. or 4:30-5:30 p.m. Currently enrolled kindergarten students will not attend school on January 16, 2026. Please contact the office with any questions at 531-299-1400.

Registration Documents Needed:

Birth Certificate – student must be 5 before July 31
Proof of Address - Acceptable documents (listed below) must have the name of the parent/guardian and current within 3 months.
OPPD / MUD utility statements
Cox Cable or Century Link statements
Mortgage Statements
Rental agreements
Immunization Records (students can be enrolled without this, however, it is recommended)
