SAME Omaha Student Mentoring Program Engineering Workshop 2025 with the USACE
02/25/2025
These yearly workshops with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) keep getting better. For the past three years we have partnered with the USACE to provide a workshop for our SAME, Omaha Post Student Mentoring Program. The students are fully engaged during presentations and are very competitive when it comes to the build contest. As always, the presenters were wonderful and we greatly appreciate their time spent with our students.
Learn more about the workshop in this article written by the USACE, Omaha District.
If you would like to know how to get your school involved in our program, please message us or email us at [email protected]. Our SAME program runs from September to the final presentations in April.

Schools are starting back and we are gearing up for the 2024-2025 STEM Competition! At this point, I believe all middle school and high school teams are returning to our competition. New school teams are forming now! We kick off the end of September!
We are gaining at least four new middle schools and some of our existing high schools will have more teams this year. And we still have room for more schools! If you have a child, student, teacher, or school that would be interested, let’s talk. New mentors are invited to get involved too!
Our program was started in 1994 to grow the interest of STEM activities among middle school and high school students to increase the amount of students entering and finishing college with engineering and architecture degrees. The program is based on “Real World” experiences in engineering and architecture. Today, we remain a one of a kind program.
Please share this post with those you know that might benefit from being a part of our program!
