8th Grade Scholars will learn about etiquette and strong business communication at Benson High School tomorrow. We will learn proper manners while eating a delicious lunch prepared by the culinary students.

Students in Honors Special Projects are currently working on their school rules videos. Story boards should be completed by Friday. We will start filming on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Student Council applications are now available. Since there are no elections, anyone can join. See me in room 222 or Mr. Kohlhass for an application. All applications are due September 17

I hope to see you at Open House this year on September 1. I am now in room 222. Go to the second floor and follow the signs.

Hello and welcome back to Monroe! There have been a lot of changes since last year. This year I will be teaching Honors Special projects. The Honors Language Arts classes will be taught by the team Language Arts teacher. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.

Our final book reports for Honors Language Arts will be due May 15. We will work on them in class. Just make sure students have a book read by then.

7th Grade Scholars will have a field trip to UNO on Thursday. Students will need to bring a lunch.

Honors Language Arts will be working on their April book reports in class next week. All books need to be finished by this Friday and must be grade level or above. We're going to be doing a cool digital project with them.

Honors Language Arts students are currently taking NeSA R. Please make sure that students are getting enough sleep. Encourage them to do well.

7th Grade Scholars had the wonderful opportunity to meet Jim Clifton, CEO of Gallup, today at our field trip. We spent the day learning about how to use our strengths to reach our goals.
