We had a great time at our Community Build Day yesterday! Students and families worked with Whispering Roots to plant potatoes, tomatoes, herbs and flowers. Everyone had the opportunity to mix their own fruit-infused water, sample homemade salsa and take home plants for their own gardens. Thank you to National Head Start Association and ScottsMiracle-Gro for a GroMore Good Garden grant to make this possible! Don't miss the fun!

We extend our gratitude to our partners for generously providing complimentary admissions to their facilities for families participating in Prime Time Reading. Such partnerships have a profound impact on the children and families we serve.

Regulation is not about being perfect.
It is about noticing when things feel off and gently guiding yourself back to a place of calm.

Each return to balance is progress. đź’ś

In the U.S., Black women are over three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women, and more than 80% of pregnancy-related deaths are preventable. (CDC, 2024).

At Parents as Teachers National Center, we believe every family deserves to be surrounded by care that listens, respects, and uplifts. We’re proud to stand alongside partners like the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, who are advancing community-led solutions, centering families' voices, and working toward care for Black mothers.

We hear it again and again: when families have trusted support—someone who listens, advocates, and reminds them their voice matters—outcomes change. That’s the promise behind efforts like our doula support and home visiting partnerships: walking with families so they are never alone.

Thank you to the Black Mamas Matter Alliance for your leadership in advancing this work every day. https://blkmaternalhealthweek.com/
