The 2024 Nebraska Civic Leaders including 27 students and nine teachers from Omaha Public Schools completed their program after two days of classroom lecture and a four-day field trip to Washington, DC that included visits to the US Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery, The Kennedy Center, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, The National Museum of African-American History and Culture, The Museum of the American Indian, and all of the major historical monuments.

UNO and the Nebraska Civic Leaders visit the Harry Truman Museum and Library in Independence, MO! Twenty-seven high school juniors and nine government/civics teachers from across all nine high schools in Omaha Public Schools. Thanks to the staff of the White House Decision Center who spent the day inspiring our student leaders to explore questions of civics and leadership through the study of important historical decisions!
