Both can produce the same positive physiological and neurochemical changes, which is the basis for practices like Laughastè and Laughastè yoga.
By incorporating intentional laughter into your routine, you can proactively support your nervous system's ability to recover from stress and build greater emotional resilience over time.
Laughter helps regulate your nervous system by activating the parasympathetic nervous system (the rest and digest branch), which counters the fight-or-flight response of the sympathetic nervous system. This process brings your mind and body back into balance. ⚖️
