Ann Cunningham Stained Glass Studio is a privately owned architectural glass studio established in 1975 in Omaha, Nebraska.
The studio is known for its original design work, craftsmanship, and use of quality materials, particularly European hand blown glass. Creative executions have utilized a wide range of techniques including sandblasting, beveling, and fusing as well as traditional leading, hand painting, and firing. Glass has been designed and created for such diverse environments as churches, chapels, hospitals, l
ibraries and private residences. Prior to opening her studio in Omaha, Ann Cunningham worked with Austrian glass designer Michael Ohnmacht in Aspen, Colorado. The Ohnmacht studio was innovative in its development of contemporary designs and its intricate use of beveled glass. Ann was also associated with Jean Jacques Duval of New York City’s Duval Studios. Her work there included teaching stained glass at the Cloisters, a division of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ann received a degree in architectural glass in 1974 from the Swansea College of Art in Swansea, Wales, Great Britain. Also in 1974, she received certification in architectural glass from the City and Guilds of London Institute. Ann holds an undergraduate degree in art from Briarcliff College in Briarcliff Manor, New York.
