Come take a quick tour of my petting zoo and playroom! What makes The Baby Lady unique? I have a background in music and speech and I have a house full of small pets! I'm a nanny share, looking for 2 families to join my Baby Squad! I charge $200/week per child, located near 144th/Q St. A nanny share allows me to give you the best quality care for an affordable price. If you're interested in a nanny unlike any other, contact Tina Kitchen pm, or text Tina at 402-709-9510.

My Philosophy: Control the environment, not the child.
I believe children learn best through natural experiences and I’m very hands-off. I use lots of words and repetition to help toddlers work through everyday challenges independently. I provide and maintain a safe environment and allow kids to explore in their own way.

To prevent harm, I stand in front of things to block them with my body, remove the toy causing the fight, or allow the child struggling to play in a separate space away from others. I don't believe in punishments, just conversations and natural consequences.

An example of a natural consequence: a toddler throws a toy behind a chair where they can no longer reach it; the consequence is that the toy is now behind the chair. It's not a punishment, it’s cause and effect. It allows them to understand accountability. My philosophy is based on training from Love and Logic, handing problems back to children to allow them to independently solve them, using empathy and patience.
When I hand a child back the problem, it allows them to learn new ways to deal with life's minor inconveniences and frustrations gracefully and independently.

We spend so much time trying to shape children into what adults expect…
quiet, compliant, convenient.

But the real work — the work that actually changes lives — is reshaping ourselves.

Learning how a child’s brain develops.
Understanding their nervous system.
Responding to their emotions instead of reacting to their behaviour.
Becoming the steady presence they’re wired to rely on.

Children aren’t here to rise to our expectations; they’re here to grow at their own pace, in an environment that sees their needs as legitimate, not inconvenient.

So the question isn’t,
“How do we make them fit?”
It’s,
“How do we evolve so they don’t have to shrink?”

Because when adults grow up…
children finally get to, too. ❤️
