Many people ask me why I post about science classes and fi****ms training. The answer is simple: I own two businesses: Red Wagon Tutorials and Pro 2A Plus One Fi****ms Training.
Red Wagon Tutorials has been open since 2001. We teach Creation-based online science courses into 96 countries weekdays. We provide live classes to those countries we can service during the daytime U.S. and daytime Singapore time zones. The rest of the world, we service with recorded classes, where students watch video in their daytime time zone and interact with an instructor who is available daytime hours in the U.S. Our clientele is mostly homeschoolers, missionaries, deployed military families, and sons and daughters of diplomats. We also provide a parent-led, independent study format via our Schoolhouse Teachers subscription service partner.

Pro 2A Plus One Fi****ms Training has been open since 1974. Weekends, we teach people how to safely handle fi****ms and how to shoot them precisely. We believe that every person has a right to protect themselves, their family, and others in need from those that mean them harm. We also believe that every gun owner has a responsibility to be trained, proficient, and safe with the fi****ms they own. Each year we provide as a community service about 400 free firearm safety checks to our Meridian Campus, Lacey, WA, neighbors. Personally, I hold sixteen firearm instructor certifications, including advanced tactical instructor and armed personal bodyguard trainer. I am also Air Force Special Forces trained and served for twelve years active and reserve status. I was also cross trained as a medical technologist and served in this capacity when not deployed.

The results of the 2024 election were miraculous. Our response to God’s mercy to our Nation should not be understood as license to continue our present ways but instead should be seen as a call to change our ways. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.” 2 Chronicles 7:14-20 NIV.
I don’t know about you, but I want God’s eyes open and His ears attentive. I read through the Bible every year. I am inviting anyone reading this post to do the same with me. Here is the daily reading schedule I am following:
https://allenjackson.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/AJM-Bible-Reading-Plan-365-Days.pdf
I’m here to encourage and pray with you. Feel free to message me if you have questions or requests. I am sending this out to my mailing list, 66,000 families strong in 96 countries. I hope you will join us.

Seals are one of God’s most wonderful creations.
Seals are perfectly designed for life in the water. External ears are greatly reduced or absent, and in many species, testicles and mammary glands are located in slits or pockets under the skin. These features streamline the seal body for more efficient swimming. When seals submerge underwater, their nostrils close automatically. The pupils of their eyes expand widely to capture light in near darkness. This ability is important for finding prey at night or in deep water.
Seals conserve oxygen for long periods of time, enabling them to stay submerged at great depths much longer than humans can. As a seal starts to dive, its heart rate slows to about one-tenth of its heart rate at the water surface. At the same time, the arteries, which transport oxygen-carrying blood to most of the animal’s body, constrict or squeeze shut so that only the sense organs and nervous system continue to receive a normal flow of blood. Seal muscles also store oxygen, and the spleen, an organ that stores oxygen-rich blood, is exceptionally large in seals, serving as a kind of biological scuba tank.
The deepest-diving seals can descend hundreds of meters and stay underwater for one to two hours. During a dive, carbon dioxide builds up in the blood, and the lack of oxygen causes lactic acid levels to rise in the muscles. Unlike most animals, seals are able to resist pain and fatigue caused by lactic acid accumulation. But once seals return to the water surface, they need a recovery period to bring their body chemistry back to normal. Rapid blood circulation through very large veins leading to the lungs helps to rid the seal’s body of carbon dioxide. The big-branched veins carrying blood out of the walrus’s lower body are so large that a person could pull them over their legs like pants.
Keeping warm is important for seals since water quickly conducts heat away from their bodies. Adult seals produce a thick layer of fat, called blubber, under their skin, which is an excellent insulator against the cold. Blubber is also used to store energy for times when food is scarce; seals can live off the stored fat in blubber for weeks to months.
While most newborn seals have little or no blubber, many seal species develop a fur coat during infancy that traps air next to the skin for an extra layer of insulation. The beautiful white coat of the infant harp seal, born on the Arctic ice, actually sets up a small greenhouse effect, trapping the energy of sunlight as heat near the skin. Many species shed this fur coat as they grow older, replacing it with blubber for insulation. Some seals, however, throughout their lives keep a dense coat of fur made up of about 120,000 hairs per sq cm (about 800,000 hairs per sq in). By contrast, an entire human head contains only about 100,000 hairs.
Think about the design seen in the seal. Think also about the design seen over and over again throughout Creation. In this note, I have given you a glimpse of that design. I hope that you have come to the same conclusion as Sir Fred Hoyle (England’s foremost astrophysicist) did regarding God and evolution:
“…A commonsense interpretation of the facts suggests that a super intellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology, and that there are no blind evolutionary forces worth speaking about in nature. The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question.”
Beyond question, God’s Creation always points a finger toward its Creator, not away from eternity’s Designer.

The work on the Pre-Med series continues. Biology is finished and already loaded as a Schoolhouseteachers.com course. This year Chemistry and Physics will be available. Biochemistry, Human Anatomy, and Microbiology will be come as soon as humanly possible. I write, teach, and publish the curricula myself. You will not find them in print. They are available only to those taking my courses live or via Schoolhouse Teachers subscription.

Here is an example of my Pre-Med Chemistry course and its scope and sequence:

I designed it for high school students who have made the decision to track their education toward a healthcare specialty. For example, when we talk about the periodic table, we discuss the electrolytes that provide the neurons their action potentials. The course is written at a freshman in college level, but I peppered the content with the whimsy of high school. Note, these are not published works for sale. I formatted them as lessons for my classes. The content is available only by enrolling in one of my courses: think of them as a super-syllabus. I include, the readings, comprehension checks, recorded lectures links, lecture notes, experiments, formal lab report examples, tests, exams, and answer keys in downloadable form. The only cost is tuition and some lab supply expense. If you can't afford the lab supplies, I provide video of the experiments so the students can get the content without parents absorbing additional lab costs. Hands on lab work is the best, but no student should be left out because of lack of finances.
One final note: my courses are updated each time I teach the class; hence, the content is always as current as I can make it. The dog on the cover is our course mascot, Ginger. She occasionally makes an appearance in the course lecture videos.

A liberal asked in a post how I would react if I found out my neighbor had over 40 guns and over 10,000 rounds of ammunition. This was my response:
“Actually, I buy that much ammunition every year. I shoot three hundred rounds per week at the range, I dryfire 1500 times per day, and I practice competition shooting techniques in my garage for two hours daily. I can shoot both right and left-handed. I do not have forty guns, but I rebuild the ones I have every year because I wear them out. I hold sixteen firearm instructor certifications, including advanced tactical handgun. I perform free firearm safety checks for my neighbors quarterly. I have earned their trust, I follow the local laws, and the federal regulations. People need to realize that most gun owners are responsible people that simply want to protect themselves, their families, and others in harm's way. Unless they threaten me, my family, or my community, people have nothing to fear from me. I am a competitive shooter, fi****ms instructor, and a responsible gun owner. Why should my government seek to take away my right to keep and bear arms? Simple answer, they fear the power owning one provides the citizenry. That is why the 2nd Amendment was included in the Bill of Rights, to ensure that we can always defend ourselves against government oppression. The British marched on Lexington and Concord on the night of April 18, 1775, in order to seize an arms cache and suppress the possibility of colonial rebellion by confiscating weapons from the colonists. They were met with resistance. We have not forgotten why the 2nd Amendment was written.”

“Some teachers are good, fewer still are great, and only a handful are what I would call Master Teachers. Steve Rosenoff is, without a doubt, a Master Teacher . . . Mr. Rosenoff really cares. His students see and experience the love of Christ through him . . . Thank you, Steve. Thank you for caring for your students. Thank you for ministering to your students . . . But most of all, thank you for what you have taught me, your student.”
