Giving Tuesday is TOMORROW!

Over the years, the funds generously donated on Giving Tuesday have allowed us to scholarship multiple international students here at the Academy.

These young people are thriving, growing in their spirituality and academics, serving their communities in practical ways, and are eagerly looking to a bright future! We are so thankful for the many people who have made this education possible for them.

Our school year is well underway here in Nashville! Homeschooling Jr High & High students are joining select Academy classes online. We love the diverse perspectives that our remote learners bring to our classroom.

Remote classes are a fantastic option for homeschooling students, giving them a structured learning experience, a chance to be part of a community, and access to skilled teachers.

It’s back to school for our students all over the world! 🌍

Today Academy remote students came together for an orientation along with their wonderful Education Proctors. They shared highlights from their summers, rich with experiences of worship and serving the Lord alongside friends. These students are energized and ready to begin a new school year.

Pic #1: 11th grader Rebecca Lubega wants to be a teacher. For her Directed Studies class, she is developing a 6 week Bible study for several young ladies on the book of James.

Pic #2: Rebecca’s mentors have coached her in creating engaging lesson plans, taking into consideration the age and learning styles of her students. They have had 3 Bible studies so far, and participants described it as “phenomenal!”

Pic #3 - Students take part in an activity on ‘stability’, from James 1:5-8, on the theme of being faith-filled people who are stable in all their ways.

Pic #4 - Uganda needs to see highly skilled, spirit-filled teachers investing into young people. We are thrilled to help Rebecca explore this career path!

“While I was painting this art piece I wanted to communicate that it’s important to grow in our understanding through the grace that we receive from learning God‘s word. By doing so, living under God‘s grace provides us with opportunities to grow spiritually, stronger and deeper,” says 11th grader Genesis Mirembe Ssemakula of her art project, Bloom in Grace.

“As you can see in this painting, the heart represents the life of someone who learns and practices God‘s word, and all the vegetation are a result of the process of growing or blooming in God‘s grace. Personally, this artwork is reminder that I not only have to bloom in grace but also to practice God’s word.”

Genesis worked under the mentorship of Ms. Corey Foster this semester to complete this project.
