Kristina Mazzone for Old Bridge Board of Education KIDS OVER POLITICS I am originally from Staten Island and moved to Old Bridge a little over 5 years ago. I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe in.

I have three children, two of which are in elementary school, and I work full-time. Being a mother is always my top priority and if elected, I will be inheriting 8000 plus more children. I believe some of my assets are that I am a very honest and loyal person. If I say I will do something, I do it and I will not turn my back on it. I fully believe that one of the most amazing things we can do as a

dults is to be able to be around all different types of people who may or may not think exactly like you and be able to talk it out and have different opinions but understand where each other are coming from, and that's what I think we need on the Board. I think it is okay to not always agree with people, but we always need to remain openminded to how other people feel. Some of the issues I would like to address would be to make sure any decision that is made, is made with the best interest of the people it is affecting directly. I would like to focus on our budget and spending to make sure each school is receiving a fair and accurate budget. I think as taxpayers, we the community have a right to know how our money is being spent. I would also like to try and implement a program in our higher-grade schools that focuses on the Mental Health of our students and staff. It is very unfortunate that addiction, in any way, has affected the lives of so many and giving people a place, they can anonymously go to and talk, whether it be for themselves, a family member or even a friend, would help people immensely. I am open to hearing people's thoughts, opinions and even suggestions on what they think would help better our education department!
