The annual Olathe Bass Summit is coming up on Saturday, September 19, 2026!

🎵 Olathe District Bassists — Grades 7–12 are invited to spend the day developing their skills, building confidence, and connecting with other bass players from across the district!

Participants will have the opportunity to focus on:
🎷 Jazz Bass
🎻 Bass Fundamentals
🎼 KMEA Audition Preparation
🔥 BASS ENSEMBLE

Whether you're looking to strengthen your fundamentals, prepare for auditions, explore jazz, or simply spend the day making music with other bassists, the Bass Summit is a great opportunity to grow as a musician!

🎶 The sounds of music are coming back to our elementary classrooms! 🎻

Our Olathe Public Schools Elementary Orchestra and Elementary Band teachers are getting ready to introduce our incoming 5th grade musicians to the exciting world of instrumental music!

Starting NEXT WEEK, students will have the chance to see, hear, and try a variety of band and string instruments during the school day.

And the fun doesn't stop there! Families will also have the opportunity to attend a “Meet the Instrument” Night at their area high school. Come to one—or come to them all!

That’s a wrap on another amazing year of Elementary Orchestra in Olathe! 🎶💙
Thank you to all of our incredible students for sharing your gift of music with us this year. We had so much fun making music together and watching you grow as musicians!
As students head into summer, orchestra teachers are already hard at work cleaning classrooms, organizing music, and repairing instruments to prepare for next year’s future orchestra players. 🎻✨
